CARNIVAL MARDI GRAS

🛳"secret deck" do not exist because of the Havana Suites - which looked amazing
🛳ships coin - deck 6, forward, across from the punchliner comedy club
🛳room #15477, #15383
🛳itineraries and menu pics are from my cruise - all are subject to change

This is by far my favorite ship!  There are so many restaurants, bars and activities - there's never a dull moment.  We loved every meal and every drink we had.  The roller coaster was a blast and although I found it scary at times, we also enjoyed the ropes course.
There's a Mardi Gras parade each sailing and a competition to be crowned Mardi Gras King and Queen, if you want to participate - dress to impress and bring lots of beads!
If you like bloody mary's you have to order one from the Guy's Pig and Anchor bar!  They use infused vodka and put loads of bacon in it!

We loved room 15477 but 15383 was directly below the lido deck and the staff would drag furniture around at 3am and was super loud.
On Sea Days we always go to Sea Day Brunch.  The Flamin' Tomato Soup is my favorite item on the menu.  You can order off the kids menu so if you're craving some mozzarella sticks, go for it!  We also aways attend afternoon tea on each sea day.  Below you will find lots of photos of menus and our daily itineraries from this ship.

7 day cruise out of Port Canaveral to Cozumel, Costa Maya & Roatan

In Cozumel we booked the ultimate mixology by Jose Cuervo - this has been one of my all-time favorite excursions we've ever done.  We made drinks and guacamole and were served ceviche and lunch.  After we swam in an infinite pool overlooking the dolphin pool.  I would do this over and over again, we had so much fun!
Costa Maya was one of my favorite ports we've ever been to.  No excursion needed at all!  I'm so sad this port is being sold and will no longer be an option in the future.  We did the aviary tour and then spent the rest of the day in the swim up pool bar.
In Roatan we did a scuba excursion and loved it!  We saw many groupers, eels and a spotted eagle ray.
this Fat Tuesday menu is from Roatan
red frog rumbar
The Havana bar had the best espresso martinis!

7 day cruise out of Port Canaveral to Grand Turk, Amber Cove, Nassau, Celebration Key

Day 1: Welcome Aboard
Our first day onboard usually consists of heading straight to our muster station, getting a drink, then lunch (probably guys burger).  I usually go to the effy store to pick up the barrel times and we always attend the sail away party.  We tend to eat dinner in the main dining room (MDR) and hit up the alchemy bar after.  Pizza and a comedy show before bed!

Day 2: Sea Day
Make sure to attend sea day brunch and afternoon tea!  This was our first of two elegant nights.

Day 3: Grand Turk
Grand Turk Cruise Center has shops, restaurants, a beach and a swim up pool bar.  Definitely enough to keep you busy and have fun while in port if you did not book an excursion.
We did the Grand Turk Flavors, Sightseeing & Lunch excursion on this trip and I would not recommend it.  We drove around the island in a bus and while we appreciated the tour guides time very much, we couldn't understand a word he said.  Our lunch was delicious but overall I found this excursion to be very boring and not worth the money/time.  The restaurant we ate lunch at gave us a lesson in making conch fritters and shared a recipe:
Day 4: Amber Cove
Amber Cove Port is beautiful and has shops, restaurants and a pool, this is another port where I think you could entertain yourself for the day and not need an excursion.
We did the Deluxe Catamaran Sail & Snorkel w/lunch and it was so much fun!  The staff was awesome and the Dominican Republic is gorgeous!  The water was cloudy on the day we went so we couldn't see many fish but we still had a great time.  I would definitely recommend this excursion if you enjoy being out on the water.
This night was the 80s Rock 'n Glow party.  We love dressing up and dancing at this party!
Day 5: Sea Day
Make sure to attend sea day brunch and afternoon tea!
This was our second sea day and elegant night.  We did the alchemy bar class this day and had a blast!
Day 6: Nassau
Nassau Cruise Port recently received a face lift and there are lots of cute souvenir shops to walk through.  Of all the ports on this particular sailing I would say this is the one you may want to book an excursion.  There isn't a ton to do but it's still a fun stop.  There are lots of shops to browse and we usually end up having lunch at Senior Frogs and heading back to the ship early.  Senior Frogs is loud and can get wild.  TJ loves the conch salad there and I like the frozen mango daiquiri.  A lot of their drinks are super sweet and I've found the mango daiquiri to be the most tolerable.

Day 7: Celebration Key
Celebration Key is a fun port with a lagoon, beach, water slides, shops and several places to eat.  Each person can redeem one free meal on the island eats menu or (while we were there) you could get 40% off a paid meal.  I asked around to see what the most popular food was because I've been hearing lots of mixed reviews and the consensus was: fish tacos, pineapple rum chicken wings, mediterranean bowls and donuts.
The food pavilion has a wide variety of food to choose from with lots of seating.  The first time we came to Celebration Key it closed at 5pm and we weren't able to get food from here.  The second time we came to Celebration Key we made a point to go early.  We both still liked the fish tacos a lot better than the food we got from the pavilion.  My favorite drink I had on the island was the watermelon smash at the sunshine swings.
We enjoyed the swim up bar area with a DJ and have not ventured over to Pearl Cove yet.
