Nassau Cruise Port recently received a face lift and there are lots of cute souvenir shops to walk through. Of all the ports on this particular sailing I would say this is the one you may want to book an excursion. There isn't a ton to do but it's still a fun stop. There are lots of shops to browse and we usually end up having lunch at Senior Frogs and heading back to the ship early. Senior Frogs is loud and can get wild. TJ loves the conch salad there and I like the frozen mango daiquiri. A lot of their drinks are super sweet and I've found the mango daiquiri to be the most tolerable.
Our typical day in Nassau starts off by walking straight out the cruise terminal and taking a right on Bay Street. We like to browse the souvenir stores and jewelry shops along the way. One of my favorite shops is John Bull, large jewelry store with a wide selection of perfumes, clean bathrooms and a Starbucks. If you go during Christmas, they decorate the whole store and there's a huge tree that you can take a really cute photo in front of.
At the end of Bay Street we turn right onto Navy Lyon Rd and head to Senior Frogs for lunch. When we're done eating, drinking and dancing we head down Woods Rogers Walk and walk through the new shops put in just outside the cruise terminal and head back to the ship.
One trip in 2025 we did the swimming pigs & sun cay beach club excursion in Nassau, this was so much fun! The sun cay beach club lunch was amazing and the area was so nice with lounge chairs and hammocks. Swings at a bar and free kayaks and paddle boards to use. Swimming with the pigs was a lot of fun too and holding the babies on shore was the icing on the cake. We really enjoyed this excursion!
Our first trip in 2020 we took a cab to Atlantis and toured the mall and shops and then ate at Hard Rock Cafe (now closed). After lunch we walked through the straw market and stopped for a swim at junkanoo beach. Junkanoo Beach is the closest beach within walking distance of the cruise port.
