Amber Cove Port is beautiful and has shops, restaurants, a beach and a pool, this is another port where I think you could entertain yourself for the day and not need an excursion.
We did the Deluxe Catamaran Sail & Snorkel w/lunch and it was so much fun! The staff was awesome and the Dominican Republic is gorgeous! The water was cloudy on the day we went so we couldn't see many fish but we still had a great time. I would definitely recommend this excursion if you enjoy being out on the water.
