ORANGE CHICKEN

I saw this recipe on pinterest about a year ago, it was called crock pot orange chicken and it looked amazing!  Well I tried it twice and it was a pintrosity!  However, recently I tried the baked sweet and sour chicken with my own twist and it was sooooo good, I had to put that twist on this recipe and see how it came out.  It was delicious and the entire family loved it!  Definitely a keeper!  I also found a great fried rice recipe that goes well with both chicken dinners, all 3 can be found under the Asian tab of my blog.

1 bag popcorn chicken (does not need to be thawed) - great value brand at walmart are the best!
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
3 tablespoons ketchup
6oz orange juice concentrate (half of the frozen juice container - thawed a bit so it'll coat chicken)
4 tablespoons brown sugar
pinch of salt

Combine vinegar, ketchup, orange juice, sugar and salt.  Add chicken and stir to coat.

Line a baking sheet with foil and spread chicken out.  Follow baking directions on back of chicken package.

We are thinking about substituting the juice with different flavors, like pineapple, apple....
Here's the Fried Rice recipe we make every time we have this chicken, it's really good!

  1. Trying this tonight! It looks amazing! Pineapple would be good. It would almost be like sweet and sour!
