HAM & GREEN BEANS

This recipe was shared by my mother in law. It's one of my husband's favorite meals and a true crowd pleaser!

5lb bone in smoked ham
2 bags frozen green beans
Bag of baking potatoes

1. Preheat oven to 275, place ham in roasting pan and fill a little less than half way with water, cover with foil and cook for 4 hours.

2. After 4 hours, take ham out of roasting pan and cut the meat off the bone into bite size chunks. Peel and cut potatoes, add potatoes and green beans to the pan. Re-cover with foil. Turn temp up to 300 and cook for 2 more hours.

3. Serve with dinner rolls if desired.

*This meal is very easy and makes a TON of food. Perfect for holidays or to take to a friend who has just given birth or lost a loved one.

*Save ham bone and water (stock) for a soup.

  1. I love your recipe, everything is in one dish already. You got meat and veggies plus carbs, perfect, lol! And what's so great about it is that it's so simple. It does take a long time to cook but you actually do a lot of other house chores while dinner is cooking, lol!
