APPLE SPICE DONUTS

 

This was my attempt of a play on apple cider donuts.  The flavor was great!  The texture was extremely moist which was yummy but not consistent of a cake donut so if you're looking for that texture I would recommend adding 2 eggs into the mix.

1 box spice cake mix

2 cups cinnamon applesauce

Beat cake mix and applesauce until well combined.

Use a 1/4 cup measure scoop for a mini donut pan (or muffin pan)

Bake at 350 for 9 minutes in donut pan or 16 minutes in muffin pan.

Toppings are not needed but if desired, stamp tops of donuts into cinnamon and sugar or glaze with cream cheese frosting.
