SOURDOUGH DISCARD WAFFLES

1 cup sourdough starter discard
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups buttermilk
2 eggs
1 stick butter
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch salt

Stir all ingredients until combined well.  I use about 3/4 cup batter in my Belgium waffle iron.  Cook for about 2 minutes or until steam stops rising from waffle iron.  Makes 9/10 waffles.
