HAM WITH PINEAPPLE GLAZE

I found this glaze recipe in an old newspaper clipping while working on genealogy.  I had to give it a try and it was delicious!  Reserve the bone and any leftover ham for Ham and Bean soup!

10 pound bone in ham
20oz can pineapple slices
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
2 teaspoons cornstarch
whole cloves
cherries

Place ham in a wok or large pan that can be put in the oven.  Score the ham in a diamond pattern about 1/2" deep all around.
Combine pineapple juice from can, sugar, mustard, ground cloves and cornstarch in a small sauce pan.  Bring to a boil and turn off heat once thickened.
Pour half of the sauce over the ham.  Arrange pineapple slices and cherries around ham and fasten with toothpicks.  Stud ham with whole cloves.
Cover ham with foil and bake at 375* for an hour and twenty minutes.
Uncover ham, baste with juices in pan and bake uncovered for about another 20 minutes.
Remove cherries and pineapples to a bowl and remove and discard all toothpicks and whole cloves.  Slice ham and baste with leftover sauce or serve the sauce on the side for dipping.
