HAM & BEAN SOUP

6 cups chicken stock
bag of 15 bean soup beans
1 tablespoon fresh or ground thyme
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon crushed garlic (3 cloves)
2 large carrots, chopped 
1 onion, chopped
4lb ham bone or ham hock with meat

Stir all ingredients together in a slow cooker and place ham in center.  Cook on high for 6 hours.  Remove ham and pick meat off the bone.  Shred the meat and return to soup and serve.
