CRACK SLAW


My whole family was very happy with this dish.  It reminded us of the inside of an egg roll.  The sauce was very flavorful but once added to the meat and coleslaw it sort of got lost.  Next time we will try to double the sauce and see if that helps.

1 lb ground beef or pork
2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
2 minced garlic cloves
3 sliced green onions
14 oz bag coleslaw mix

Sauce
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger or paste
1 teaspoon white vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce

Brown meat in a skillet.  While meat is cooking, combine sauce ingredients in a bowl.
When meat is down cooking, drain and remove from skillet.  Heat up sesame oil in skillet, add onions, garlic and coleslaw mix to skillet.  Cook until tender.
Stir in the sauce and then add the meat and combine well.
Heat through and serve!
