I'd never heard of browning butter before.  I got this recipe from my mother in law, she makes this side at every holiday meal.  We all love it!

8 oz egg noodles
1 stick of REAL butter
salt and pepper

Boil egg noodles as directed on package.  While they are boiling cook butter in a frying pan on med/high heat.  Constantly stir butter and watch it.  It will bubble and then foam, you want it to turn a brown but not burn.

Once butter is done mix it with the noodles and add salt and pepper.  I used garlic salt on ours and it tasted great!

*Easily doubled - use whole bag of 16 oz egg noodles with 2 sticks of butter.

Butter should be brown like photo above and will appear frothy.
