12 or 16oz bag of chocolate chips (any flavor)
1 can of frosting (any flavor)
1 to 2 cups toppings, if desired (M&Ms, nuts, marshmallows, sprinkles, coconut)

Pour chocolate chips in a microwave safe container and microwave in 30 second intervals until chips are shiny and soft, stir until completely melted.  (Took mine 1 minute - do not over cook!)

Add frosting and toppings and stir until combined.  Spread in a 8x8 dish or something similar and chill.

*If you do not use toppings you can pipe the fudge onto wax paper though a pastry bag for pretty shapes.  Be sure to lay the wax paper on something sturdy for transporting to the fridge like a cookie sheet or cutting board.  Click the link below for more flavor combinations and experiment making some of your own!

Possible combinations:
Candy Cane Fudge: milk chocolate chips with milk chocolate frosting, chopped candy canes
                                white chocolate chips with vanilla frosting, chopped candy canes
