APPLE CRISP



4 green apples, peeled, cored and sliced
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup oats
1/3 cup butter, softened
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
ice cream, if desired

1. Heat oven to 375. Grease bottom of 8 inch square pan. Spread apple slices in pan.

2. In a bowl, stir all ingredients with a fork to make crumbs, sprinkle over apples.

3. Bake 30 minutes. Serve with ice cream.

*Cherry Crisp - substitute 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling for the apples.
*Peach Crisp - substitute 1 can (29 oz) peach slices, drained, for the apples.
