MACARONI & CHEESE CASSEROLE



1lb (16oz) elbow macaroni
1lb (16 oz) sharp cheddar cheese
4-5 slices of bread with crust removed, ripped or cut into small pieces
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons onion salt
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup butter, melted

Boil and drain macaroni.  Add milk, flour, onion salt and cheese to pot and stir until cheese is melted and sauce is well combined.  Add macaroni to sauce and stir to coat.
Pour into greased pan.
Sprinkle bread on top. Drizzle with butter and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

*alternate topping: Mix together 1 cup bread crumbs, 1/4 cup butter and 1 tablespoon of your choice of seasoning (garlic salt/BBQ rub etc.) and sprinkle on top before baking.
