MOJITO


the amount of lime juice and mint leaves can be adjusted to taste
all drinks can be rimmed with lime juice and sugar
all drinks can be garnished with mint sprig and lime wheel
can also add whole mint leaves, slices of fruit and citrus to glass

traditional
6 mint leaves
1/2 ounce simple syrup or agave syrup 
2 ounces white rum
1 lime, juiced
club soda
*sprite (replaces simple syrup and club soda)

muddle mint and syrup in the bottom of glass
add rum and lime juice to glass
fill glass with ice
top with club soda
*I like to replace the simple syrup and club soda with sprite

coconut
replace simple syrup with 2 ounces of cream of coconut to traditional recipe
garnish with toasted coconut

strawberry
muddle 2 strawberries with mint and syrup in traditional recipe
add slices of a strawberry to drink
garnish with a whole strawberry  

blueberry
muddle 1/3 cup blueberries with mint and syrup in traditional recipe
add whole blueberries to drink

citrus
add juice from 1/2 lime, 1/2 lemon, 1/2 orange to traditional recipe

watermelon
muddle 1/3 cup watermelon chunks with mint and syrup in traditional recipe
add a few chunks to the drink
garnish with a watermelon slice

frozen
20 mint leaves
2 limes, juiced
4 tablespoons simple syrup or agave syrup
4 ounces white rum
4 cups ice

pulse mint, lime juice and syrup in a blender until mint is small flakes
add rum and ice, blend until even slush

brazilian
2 cups water
2 limes, cut into wedges
20 mint leaves
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
4 ounces white rum
4 cups ice

pulse water and limes wedges in a blender for 10 seconds
strain out solids and add liquid back to blender
add mint, sweetened condensed milk, rum and ice, blend until even slush
