We tried the mac n cheese at V Pizza recently and it was amazing so I tried my own version at home and we all loved it! *I didn't have pesto on hand so I added 1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
8 oz shredded sharp cheddar + 4 oz for topping
8 oz shredded smoked gouda + 4 oz for topping
2 cups heavy cream
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 tablespoon pesto or minced garlic
4 oz parmesan cheese for topping
Boil pasta for 10 minutes. While pasta is cooking melt butter in a saucepan. Whisk flour into butter and cook for about a minute or two. Add in cheese, cream and seasonings and cook until fully melted. Combine pasta and cheese sauce in a 9x13 casserole dish.
Combine cheddar, gouda and parmesan cheese and sprinkle evenly over top and broil until bubbly and browned.
