CINNAMON ROLL BRAID

 

1 can cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing
8oz cream cheese
2 teaspoons extract (your choice)
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg yolk

Unroll each cinnamon roll and cut each strip in half.  Lay them on a parchment lined sheet.  
Whisk together cream cheese, extract, sugar and egg yolk until creamy and well combined.
Spoon cream cheese mixture on center of cinnamon strips and fold them in to assemble a braid.
Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes.  Drizzle warmed icing over top.

Blueberry almond: use almond extract and top with sliced almonds and blueberries before baking

Birthday braid: use vanilla extract and add sprinkles over icing after baking
