This is my best friend's favorite dinner. I ate it at her house often when we were young and recently made it so I had to add it to my blog for sentimental value. I did find an online article showing this recipe in a 1950s better Crocker cookbook, which I thought was pretty interesting!
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
soy sauce
1 cup milk
mashed potatoes
6 baking potatoes
2 tablespoons butter
milk
salt and pepper
corn
Cook ground beef and onion, drain
dash in soy sauce to taste, add milk and simmer on low for about 30 minutes
Peel and chop potatoes, boil for 25 minutes, drain
add butter and milk until desired consistency
salt and pepper to taste
Serve ground beef over mashed potatoes and corn on the side
