We are somewhat new to cruising and we've been learning some tips and tricks along the way. Some tips listed below are more well known than others so I wanted to make a list to remind ourselves of these perks along with share with our friends! These tips pertain to Carnival Cruise Lines only.

Tips: Do Not Forget
✨ your documents: ID, passport or birth certificate, marriage certificate
✨check in online and print your boarding passes prior to cruise
✨turn off "set automatically" under date & time on your phone before leaving port
✨sea sickness meds - the patch behind the ear is great, tums and Tylenol
✨join the Facebook group for your cruise - search carnival (ship) and date on Facebook
✨find cruise director's social media to see current parties for your cruise
✨Reusable straws, scent trees, large cup for water, multi plug, themed party outfits
Tips: Dining
✨ order a side of peanut butter with the chocolate melting cake
✨ order items from the kids menu like mac n cheese, cheese burger, hot dog or a banana split
✨ ask Blue Iguana for a taco salad shell? Have to check this one out still
✨ book The Chef's Table
✨ mix lemonade and ice cream to make a frosted lemonade
✨ mix coffee/espresso and ice cream to make an affogato
✨ order olive oil and balsamic vinegar for your bread with dinner
✨ choose early dining for the main dining room - wait time and quality may be different later
✨attend afternoon tea - tea and snacks usually on last sea day

✨ attend the Alchemy Bar Mixology Class - inquire at the bar
✨ ask Cruise Director about The Quest (adult only scavenger hunt)
✨ attend The Love & Marriage show - hands down BEST show onboard!
✨ watch pier runners after each port visit
✨ find the "secret deck" - public observation deck on front of some ships
✨ find the ship's coin on display
✨ hide and find ducks
✨ pack an over the top 80s outfit for the 80s Rock N Glow Party
✨ pack an all white outfit for the white hot night party (if applicable)
✨ pack an elegant night outfit (or two for longer cruises)
✨ become a Players Club member - earn free drinks, meal comps and future cruises!
✨collect the fun barrel necklace and barrels from the EFFY shop
✨purchase the charm bracelet and collect the charm of the day at the jewelry stands
✨collect ship themed coffee and espresso cups from JavaBlue Cafe
✨collect military hero glasses from the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge
Tips: Room
✨ order coffee from room service in the mornings
✨ ask steward for a mattress topper and a blue blanket
✨ ask steward for a fan, if needed
✨ ice buckets and bath robes are available upon request
