SMOKED CREAM CHEESE

This dip is so easy and delicious!  We have an offset stick burning smoker (not a pellet smoker) and were still able to achieve this yummy appetizer.  The platter pictured on the right goes directly on the smoker so you can smoke your cream cheese on it AND it doubles as a serving platter!  The spreader sticks in the handle and serve!  You can find them on amazon here: smoked cream cheese platter!

1 brick cream cheese
BBQ rub

Roll all sides of cream cheese in rub until completely covered.  Place cream cheese on a smoking platter or foil tray and score in a criss cross pattern.
Indirectly smoke for 2 hours at 225º-250º.
Serve with crackers and we really loved ours paired with strawberry jalapeño pepper jelly!

Hard to see here but this was our smoked dessert cream cheese.  This came out so amazing!!!

1 brick cream cheese
cinnamon and sugar

For the caramel sauce:
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter

hot honey

Roll all sides of cream cheese in cinnamon and sugar until completely covered.  Place cream cheese on a smoking platter for foil tray and score in a criss cross pattern.
Indirectly smoke for 2 hours at 225º-250º

30 minutes before cream cheese is done, put nuts in a small cast iron pan and place on smoker, stirring every few minutes until both cream cheese and nuts are done.

Melt butter in a sauce pan.  Add brown sugar and cook until it starts to bubble and foam on top.  Stir in nuts and remove from heat.  Allow to cool for a few minutes before dumping over cream cheese.

We then drizzled with hot honey but I didn't really taste that.

Serve with graham crackers.
