1lb pasta
1lb ground beef
1 packet or 2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
2/3 cup water
2 cups Mexican blend shredded cheese, divided
optional toppings:
nacho cheese Doritos
cherry tomatoes
green onions
black beans
black olives
optional dressings:
taco sauce
salsa
sour cream
French or Catalina salad dressing
Boil your pasta according to package directions while you brown your ground beef in a large skillet. Drain ground beef if needed when done. Add taco seasoning, water and 1 cup of cheese to ground beef and stir well to combine.
Add cooked pasta, remaining cup of cheese and desired toppings to skillet. Top with desired dressing on individual servings.
*we found that we like adding the Doritos to our plate just before eating, otherwise they will get soggy and have the texture of a tortilla instead. Not very appetizing in leftovers but we loved the flavor and crunch they added!
