Pull the pit out of the center of a mango and using a knife or heavy duty scissors, gently cut around the outer edge of the pit. Once you have a wide enough space, gently poke a knife blade down to split the pit in half, exposing the seed inside. Soak seed in water for 1 hour. Place seed in a cup of moistened soil half way in soil, half way exposed. The larger bottom part of seed goes down in soil.
