PUMPKIN SPICE CUPCAKES


1 box spice cake mix (just the package not the additional ingredients)
15oz can pumpkin pie filling
1/2 cup chocolate chips

8oz cream cheese
1 stick butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-4 cups powdered sugar (depends on sweetness and stiffness)

Beat spice cake mix and pumpkin filling until well combined.  Fold in chocolate chips.  
Fill muffin liners with 1/4 cup batter each.  
Bake at 350º for 16 minutes.

For frosting, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until well combined - smooth and creamy.  Add powdered sugar 1 cup at a time.  Whip for 1-2 minutes.

Pipe frosting on cupcakes when cool.  Dust with pumpkin pie spice if desired.
