I stayed on Fripp Island in April of 2017. The home we stayed at, 412 Skimmer Cove, was amazing with a large balcony overlooking a lake. My favorite part of the trip was sitting in a rocking chair on that balcony watching a gator snap at fish while drinking coffee in the mornings.
I also loved the hammock out back and that most houses come with a golf cart. There are houses on the beach but if you don't stay in one of those you can take a golf cart there.
There were restaurants, a store and marine and plenty of activities to do on Fripp Island. Parts of Forrest Gump were filmed there and in one of the restaurants that had photos from when the movie crew was filming there.
There are tons of deer roaming the island and they will approach you for food. They are so cute!
