MARGHERITA PIZZA


This meal was absolutely delicious!  We always have olive oil and garlic on hand and we have cherry tomatoes and basil in our garden so the only items we had to purchase were the dough and mozzarella.  

*pizza dough
Fresh Mozzarella - thinly sliced
Fresh cherry tomatoes - quartered
Fresh basil (some chopped, some fresh)
Olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
garlic salt

Preheat oven to 475*
Roll dough out onto pizza stone and bake for 10 minutes.  Take out and drizzle with olive oil; sprinkle garlic salt; spread minced garlic and chopped basil around evenly.

Use a paper towel to soak up excess moisture from tomatoes and cheese.  Sprinkle tomatoes evenly onto pizza, lay mozzarella slices down.

Bake for about 10 minutes.  Keep an eye on your crust.  Add fresh basil leaves on top once done and serve!
