US H/6 5mm Crochet Hook
Yarn Needle

GAUGE: 13 sts = 4”; 8 rounds = 4”
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

Size 0-3 Months
Using Red yarn, make magic circle, ch 2
Round 1: 11 dc in circle, join with sl st. (11)
Round 2: ch 2, *2 dc in same st* repeat around, join with sl st. (22)
Round 3: ch 2, *dc, 2 dc in same st* repeat around, join with sl st. (33)
Round 4: ch 2, *dc 2, 2 dc in same st* repeat around, join with sl st. (44)
Round 5-10: ch 2, dc around, join with sl st. (44)

For scalloped band
Switch to black (if desired)
Round 10: ch 1, (sc, ch 1, 2 dc) in same st, skip next 2 sts; repeat around, join with sl st.
Fasten off

Antenna (make 2)
I use two stitch markers to mark where I want to place the antenna’s.
Attach black yarn with a sc.
Ch 10
sc in 3rd ch from hook
sl st down the length of the antenna and sc back into st on hat where attached.
fasten off

Dots (make 5)
ch 2, 12 dc in 2nd ch from hook; join with a sl st
2 sc in each st all the way around; join with a sl st
fasten off

Pin dots down where you want them and sew to hat.
