MACARONI & CHEESE CASSEROLE


next time bake for 10-15 min at 400º

1lb (16oz) elbow macaroni
1lb (16 oz) sharp cheddar cheese
4-5 slices of bread with crust removed, ripped or cut into small pieces
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons onion salt
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup butter, melted

boil and drain macaroni  
add milk, flour, onion salt and cheese to pot and stir until cheese is melted  
add macaroni to sauce and stir to coat
pour into greased 9x13 dish
sprinkle bread on top
drizzle with butter and bake for 45 minutes at 350º

✨alternate topping: mix together 1 cup bread crumbs, 1/4 cup butter and 1 tablespoon of your choice of seasoning (garlic salt/BBQ rub etc.) and sprinkle on top before baking
✨change up the cheese or use 8 ounces of two different ones
✨prefer creamy mac n cheese over baked?  just skip the topping and baking portion
