ONIGIRI (JAPANESE RICE BALLS)

These were pretty tasty and fun to make but we discovered rice tots after making these and prefer them.  I'd like to keep this recipe on my blog but refer you to rice tots.

sticky (sushi) rice
olive oil
3/4 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup sugar

Prepare rice as directed on package (with water not vinegar) and allow to cool.
Use your hands to mold the rice into patties, dip your hands in water to prevent the rice from sticking to your hands.
Lay patties out on a pan and lightly brush each side with olive oil.  Bake at 400* for 20 minutes each side, or until just lightly toasted.  The patties should be crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Dipping sauce:  Mix soy sauce and sugar together
