HONEY SESAME CHICKEN (W/CROCK POT VERSION)

This recipe was originally done in the crock pot but after making it in the pan we will never make in the crock pot again!  It's still tasty from the crock pot but the pan version blew the crock pot flavors away!

4-5 Chicken legs and thighs (we used boneless skinless)
1 cup honey
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup diced onion (dehydrated will work too)
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (we used half sesame oil and half veg)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
4 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 6 tablespoons water
sesame seeds

Cut chicken into 1" chunks and cook in a pan over med/high heat until just about done.

In small bowl mix honey, soy sauce, onion, ketchup, oil, garlic and pepper flakes.  Pour over chicken and add dissolved cornstarch.  Bring to a boil and reduce sauce until thickened.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with rice and a vegetable.

CROCK POT VERSION

Place chicken in crock pot.  In small bowl mix honey, soy sauce, onion, ketchup, oil, garlic and pepper flakes.  Pour over chicken.

Cook on low for 3 hours.  Remove chicken from crock pot.  Pour sauce into a sauce pan and add dissolved cornstarch.  Bring to a boil and reduce sauce until thickened.

Remove chicken from bone (if needed) cut into bite size pieces, pour sauce over chicken and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
