SACKBOY HAT

Sackboy Hat by: You Drive Me CrAfTy
Caron One Pound: Taupe and Black (any worsted weight will do)
Circular Knitting Needles: 4.5mm [US 7]
Double Pointed Needles: 4.5mm [US 7]
Place Marker, Yarn Needle, 2 buttons
US H Crochet Hook

GAUGE: 18 sts = 4”; 28 rounds = 4”
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needle to obtain the gauge.


Using Taupe yarn CO: 80 sts. Place marker for beginning of round and join, being careful not to twist sts. Work in K2, P2 rib for 1 1/2”.

Next Round: Knit around until total length measures 6 3/4”.

Shape Crown:
Round 1: *K6, K2tog. Repeat from* to last st
Round 2: Knit
Round 3: *K5, K2tog. Repeat from* to last st
Round 4: Knit
Round 5: *K4, K2tog. Repeat from* to last st
Round 6: Knit
Round 7: *K3, K2tog. Repeat from* to last st
Round 8: *K2, K2tog. Repeat from* to last st
Round 9: *K1, K2tog. Repeat from* to last st
Round 10: *K2tog. Repeat from* to last st
Round 11: *K2tog. Repeat from* to last st
Break yarn leaving a tail for sewing up. Draw through remaining sts.


For Mouth:
Ch 30 with crochet hook using the black yarn for mouth.

Sew the button eyes and mouth on in a smile shape.
